The Toronto plot

Which genes affect weight gain after taking antipsychotic medications?
Some antipsychotic medications can lead to substantial weight gain. If a clinician could predict which patients are likely to experience this side-effect, another option could be prescribed.
This genetic plot—commonly known as a Manhattan plot—shows the connection between genetic variations and weight gain associated with antipsychotics, based on a genome-wide association study (GWAS). The chromosomes are listed across the bottom. DNA variations on chromosome 18, near the melanocortin 4 receptor (MC4R) gene, are linked to weight gain after antipsychotic use.
This particular discovery was dubbed a “Toronto plot,” and the markers are being studied in clinical trials.
